We take our young pup here and we know he is in good hands! With the Covid precautions everything is running smoothly and not getting out of the car and having to go in is actually nice. Our pup always leaves happy and is never hesitant or scared to go in and see his friends. The doctors are friendly, knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. Keep it up guys!
This by far was the best vet Ive taken my pets to. The staff was amazing....patient , kind ,informative ,and downright compassionate. It was end of their day and carrying pet crates to and from the cars to building alone all day would wear out anyone but I was given and most of all my Disco, was treated like the first patient of the. day but closer to feeling like a princess with all of the doting over us we received.. You can feel in Your heart that they care for your babies and will give them the best treatment needed. I highly reccomend this place. If I could I would give them 11 stars. And the prices are much lower than other places. You can even schedule an appointment on the website. Thank you Thrive.
I recently moved to Austin, and finding a vet was the top of my list of priorities. I found Thrive through searching on Google, read the reviews, and scheduled a physical for my dog. I was blown away from the attentive care of the staff. My dog is a rescue who has been through heart worm treatment twice- the vets dubbed her as a “little miracle.” I noticed that her teeth could use a cleaning, so I mentioned this in her check up notes. It was recommended to do a cleaning, and that there was a chance to have some teeth extractions. We booked the bloodwork appointment and the surgery date, and every step of the way, I was given helpful tips, instructions, and check-ins to see how she was doing. The vet even called me during her surgery to give me updates- this brought so much assurance to me, and to hear that she was doing well during the whole procedure and had no issues (especially with her heart). My pup had to end up having 7 teeth total extracted, which honesty freaked me out, but after detailed explanation from the vet, I not only learned that those teeth were the most minor/influential to her eating, but that she has 42 teeth total, so she wouldn’t notice a negative difference. I received a treatment plan, knowledge of home care, and phone check-ins after I took her home. The best part, which if you’re reading this review to see how much it cost, was affordable. Everything (X-Rays, anesthesia, extractions, medicine, etc.) came out to just under $600. That is unheard of. If you are in a similar position, and have researched all care options, you will find that the procedure to do a cleaning and even extract 1 tooth can START at $1,000. Knowing this, I prepared in advance to set aside money in case the vet found more to be done during the procedure, and I was shocked at how low my bill was. Additionally: I was given an estimate report for best-worst case scenario, so I was informed of the charges ahead of time, which was wonderful. I am so happy to report that my “miracle pup” now post-op day 1 is doing very well, and even ate her soft food when she came home. I am so thankful for Thrive, and am here to say that they have my full recommendation for fur-babies everywhere. They really go above and beyond.
